A nationally known beef processor wanted to package bacon wrapped beef filets in a form, fill, seal machine in a semi automated fashion.

The customer contacted Keenline Conveyor Systems to develop a Super Sanitary packaging infeed system. The overall system design allowed them to use a lower cost film that they could not use prior.  The system and film change provide a very attractive return on investment that allowed the project to proceed.

The filets are dumped, 400 lbs. at a time into the infeed hopper, and is then automatically inclined to a manual staging station.  The operators then set the product in groups of 2, on the white infeed section of belt conveyor, to maintain spacing thru the check-weigher and to present product evenly to the form, fill and seal machine.

The system supplied, as shown in the photos, met the entire customer’ specification requirements and performed beyond the system specifications in the plant.

The photos included in this newsletter show the system at Keenline facilities after the Acceptance Tests.
